About Us

The Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) is the undisputed leader in the business of law and law practice management.  Founded in 1971, its membership has grown steadily over the years and now includes approximately 10,000 members comprised of chapters in the U.S., Mexico and Canada.  It provides members with advice, resources, expert guidance and connections for all aspects of legal management.

The Iowa Chapter of ALA was founded in 1985 and includes 32 members representing small, medium and large firms from across the state of Iowa.  The goal of the IALA is to improve the quality of management in Iowa’s legal service organizations by providing education and support to members.
